Whether supported through an outright gift or planned gift, all Stonewall Library & Archives programs are made possible through the generosity and commitment of many friends and supporters. A planned gift to the Stonewall Library and Archives Foundation helps to ensure the future of the services and programs offered by the Library. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation, the Foundation offers the most advantageous tax benefits for charitable giving. One of the ways to provide support for the Library is through a Permanent Legacy. The Foundation has established an ENDOWED FUND to provide support for the Library in perpetuity. Currently, the Foundation has established a capitalized GENERAL ENDOWMENT FUND. Through our secured financing relationship with major investment institutions, and working with your financial advisors, the Foundation is also able to establish a particularized endowed fund to meet your specific interest in the work of the Library & Archives.
What do you want your legacy to say about you? A gift may be used to create a named endowment which will, in perpetuity, honor and memorialize the person or persons for whom it is named.. With your contributions, the Foundation can continue to grow and serve the community with:
NAMED ENDOWMENT OPPORTUNITIES include Staffing, such as Archivist Chair, Chief Librarian Chair, and Programming Chair; Acquisitions, both circulating and archival; and the Annual Heritage Gala Award to honor significant contributions to GLBT culture and history.
